There is no harm in wearing bright! But unless you are intentionally planning on hurting eyes around you or making a pompous joke of yourself at a party, here are some tipsters to help you make the right choices. Yes, right about now you can say thank you or even after reading these Do’s and Don’ts! You are most welcome girls!
DON’T FEAR COLOR!
Just wear it strategically. Worried yellow might wash you out? DO hold it up to your face. If you look pale, DON’T wear it up top – it’s that simple. Try yellow shoes are anything that’s not in majority on you.
DON’T FORGET QUALITY
DO ignore the old rule about investing in neutral colors only. If you want crazy colors, DON’T buy cheaply; the poor stitching and fabric quality will only be magnified.
DARE TO WEAR RETRO
Sixties motifs on anything is a must quintessential summer DO, but stick to prints that are grounded in darker colors such as blacks or browns, which are more flattering than the wilder ones.
MIX WITH METALLIC
Skip white or black accessories, and DO try silver shoes and bags with cooler colors, like green and blue. Wear gold add-ons with warmer tones, such as yellow. DON’T worry about wearing metallic bags and shoes at the same time! It’s not too much unless your sandals are strappy and your bag is like a suitcase!
GO LIGHT!
Golden rule to remember: If the color is bright, the fabric should be soft. Silks are much easier to wear than thick opaques, which can look harsh. DON’T wear anything that’s both bright and boxy.
GO BOLD!
DO go with shades that are close to one another on the color wheel, like pink, corals and their variations. DON’T ever wear a mish-mash of neons!
I hope this has helped some of you’s out there to set the tone right! Be creative with your wardrobe but walk the sane line and you will be noticed for all the right reasons! xoxo!
