Fans and lovers of console games have something really hot in store for them now to get their hands on to! Meet Rubi Malone, a 70s era, porn-style cowgirl that knows how to sling iron and fight with a blade. Can it really get ANY better than that! Don’t think so!
Armed with a katana and two revolvers, Rubi operates solo in true Hollywood spirit of “one against all.” Moreover, she’s very close to the character played by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. Both in the state of mind a little revenge, as in the gap, and even some fairly scathing rejoinders . Even the combination fitting leather red light suggests a relationship with the actress wearing yellow and black.
Right out of the barrel, you’ve got to be thinking you’re down for any game with that as its main heroine, and right out of the barrel, you’re correct. Rubi is a gun for hire (called in-game a fixer) that will lend you her metal and mettle in whatsoever anybody is hiring for. She lives in a junk yard, drinks beer, and doesn’t give a shit!

What makes the strength of this shooting game in the third person is its dynamic camera. Always in motion, perpetually searching for the most immersive angle to stay in the heart of the action. Regardless of the movement of Rubi-be they logical or not, the player is still in the sense of action without losing its vision of its objectives. A comfortable game to none and even offered us the luxury of diving into the action of an almost permanent.
A quick word about the game-play here. It’s a fine mix of Tomb Raider, House Of The Dead and Tony Hawk combined. I guess it’s like having a new car that’s part Land Rover, part Ferrari, and part hovercraft! Yeah, doesn’t that sound cool?
Fundamentally speaking, this is a third-person, cover-based shooter. But it has a few interesting features which separate it from the herd. Predictably, it includes bullet-time, but unlike other shooters, you can lock onto one target and then manually pick of others with head shots all in one leap.
And speaking of leaping, there’s plenty of it. In fact, the more acrobatic your kills the better since there are floating powerups that double your kill points if you, say, backflip through them while shooting 9 guys in their heads. Wet bringing even more of the cinematic universe, it is a few winks on the work of aesthetics. As the phases of combat where Rubi becomes furious and leaves to go to genuine acts of carnage: a graphic blood-red, decorated with black and white, the style becomes temporarily. A small reference to Sin City.
Give it a go today! For now, savor this video.
