Believe us when we say that if that were our intentions, we could let you in on a lot of the juicy stuff about who is doing who, who just came out of the closet with his/her sexual disposition, who slapped who at what party, and who has been cheating on who… get the picture? Maybe not, but we’re sure that those who read between the lines here did!
Our sources are strictly confidential. We can not name them or mention them in any form or manner as per our legal and contractual agreement with them. So don’t email us asking who they are. We won’t respond back, promise!

THE FARAH – SARA WAR
Probably the biggest & juiciest scoop making rounds these days is undoubtedly the debacle between our very own Jewelery designer Sara Taseer Shoaib and Farah Khan Ali (sis in law of Bollywood actor Hritik Roshan) from across the border! In case you did not know, this stand-off is about a certain allegation of plagiarism but has now transcended in to political and personal grounds with malicious defamation tactics thrown back and forth.
It all started when STYLE STRIPPED, a well known forum documenting Pakistani fashion and style along with a dash of International flavor, broke the story of how home grown talent, Sara Taseer Shoaib’s logo and certain jewelery designs had in fact been lifted from that of Farah Khan Ali’s creations from across the border. Style Stripped contacted Farah and told her about it that started a chain reaction of accusations and threads of actually the story is like this from both ends. Surprisingly, the story that started it all on Style Stripped website is no longer there. The url to the sensational news (http://www.stylestripped.com/2009/06/sara-taseer-shoaib-deja-vu-sigh.html) now points to a dead end. Was this owing to the political standing of Sara Taseer Shoaib? Did Style Stripped realize they had bitten off more than they could chew? What ever the reasons were is not clear. But the news got picked up by the press in both the countries and amounted to volumes of articles, opinions, and critical pieces on the story and the issue of plagiarism itself.

We don’t really know who is right here so it would be pointless for us at Partylicious to take sides. But the rumor is that Farah Khan is now hell bent on checking up on Sara’s academic records even to find any dirt that she can on her. Of course Sara is making sure these actions are in the limelight with her twitter statuses that are now like live commentary! By the way, here’s what Sara’s most recent twitter status reads:

SPOOKY SKOOP
Once upon a time, there was a lad by the name of Yasser Chaudhry who created a social media website by the name of SKOOP at http://skoop.com.pk/. For quite some time, the days were good and the sun shone brightly on the website. Then some 2 months or so ago, Yasser suddenly disappeared! You heard us, he vanished from Lahore without a trace! poof! No one knew what happened to him but some said he was in rehab with drugs and alcohol issues while others said they sighted him once or twice sporting a dhoti on a tractor farming his family’s lands! Yet another news slated that he had eloped with a British born babe from Mirpur and is now living as a fisherman and a part-time tour guide somewhere in Brazil! Talk about some people’s imagination I swear! Nevertheless, Yasser has been listed in Pakistan’s missing person (just in case) and we hope that where ever he is (and who ever he is with), he’d see this post and acknowledge back with a Hello! Is it me you’re looking for! signal of some sort!

THE ONE ABOUT IFFAT OMAR…
We were feeling bad about missing out on Sara Gillani’s recent launch: SURFACE. But ever since we’ve heard rumors about Iffat Omar’s heated (and LOUD) argument with some guy at the launch, our ears have never been so perky! All we know is that Iffat got in to a verbal stand-off with a socialite and this was in the presence of several cameramen and journalists/hosts as well as guests at the launch. Now since we were not there ourselves, we can not validate or confirm so these are mere rumors making their way down the gossip vines right now. We couldn’t get in touch with Iffat for any comments but we did mention this to Aamir Mazhar of Savvy PR & Events who were the organizers of the launch and response was that the press and news has blown it out of proportion.
