At times, my heart goes out to our country’s journalists, news anchors, and producers. Media has never been so sensational as it is now days in Pakistan. And all kudos goes to these fine men and women who toil hard, day and night, to either make mountains our of mole-hills or sensationalize something absolutely trivial. They excel at what they do and boy do we love them more than the ever nonsensical Star Plus dramas streaming from across the border!

All said and done, we believe in living life to the fullest and having a party while you’re at it. You live only once, so why not make the most of it right? And of course, our news anchors and show hosts are no different. They need to unwind and let their hair down sometime too you know.

God bless the US Ambassador to Pakistan, Anne W Patterson, who felt this yearning in our TV show hosts and news channel anchors and invited a bunch of them to a pretty cozy party where the effort seemed to be on getting cozier with everyone else all around! In attendance and most prominent were the likes of AAJ TV’s Shaukat Paracha, Asma Shirazi from ARY One World, Samaa TV’s pretty lady Meher Bukhari, and the dancing diva of the party was Saima Mohsin of Dawn News who really got down when it came to skills on the dance floor. Looks like hosting shows isn’t the only thing they are getting paid for these days!

Now that our media is all charged up, done with the hangovers and finally figured out who woke up one which side of whose bed the next morning, may we please get back to some serious news business? *chuckles*
